Advising & Supporting (A/S)

The most daunting part of my professional journey was developing my supervisor philosophy and learning how to intentionally implement with the students I work with. Over time, this has become one of the competencies in which I feel most confident, serving as a catalyst for my broader professional practice. Through my role as an Assistant Coordinator for Center Management and my practicum experience with New Student Orientation, I have actively embodied what ACPA/NASPA describe as “developing advising and supporting strategies that take into account self-knowledge and the needs of others”.
