M.S.Ed Higher Education & Student Affairs

Welcome to my E-Portfolio
My name is Josie Hufford, and welcome to my E-Portfolio! I am a 2nd year master's student in Higher Education & Student Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington. On this page, you will learn a little about me and my journey throughout my program.

During my undergraduate education, I served as a Resident Assistant (RA) in the largest residence hall and as a First Year Peer Mentor. These experiences sparked my passion for education and student affairs. Since coming to IU, I have continued this work in an even larger residential setting at a significantly bigger institution. My time as an Assistant Coordinator has been both rewarding and deeply enriching to my graduate experience.
Beyond my assistantship, I have served as the Director of Outreach for the Student Personnel Association and as a Graduate Intern with New Student Orientation. My HESA journey has exposed me to a wide range of functional areas, complemented by my current internship with the Career Development Professionals of Indiana.
I am very passionate about creating student-centered environments where individuals feel a sense of belonging and are empowered to explore their identities and goals. My work is grounded in relationship building and supporting students throughout their education journey. Professionally, I hope to continue working in roles that integrate academic and student affairs while promoting holistic student development and career exploration.
