Professional Development Plan
There is a lot of pride that comes from being a master’s student and the work that you get to do during your time in school. What I take the most pride in is my philosophy within my program of being a lifelong learner. This pertains to much of my education, but also to my personal life. Implementing a professional development plan with key items to refer to is vital in accountability practice and encourages lifelong learning as a professional. I am immensely joyed to continue my career in Residence Life, and I hope to continue advancing within that functional area. I hope to obtain these short-term goals within my first year in student affairs and my long-term goals within the next five years. While I know I will be leaving the region, I hope to continue engaging in professional development practices within my institution, and perhaps at regional levels as well.
